This is the team…
Tony Edwards
Tony began brewing at home around 12 yrs ago, after a dedicated period of passionate market research, mainly sampling as much real ale as possible. Following a move to Felixstowe in 2015 and with an empty out-house calling, Tony later adapted this into a little garden brewery with a 100ltr kit . He attended two courses at the Bakewell Brew School whilst brewing and sampling with friends began in earnest!
We registered to become an official Nano brewery and sales were launched at Farmers markets in October 2018. Tony continued to brew at weekends, whilst commuting to London until 2020 when everything changed (and for most people!).
So following redundancy, and a 30 year career in social care and the charity sector, Tony is now a full time brewer. His hopes are to continue to produce and sell ‘good beer’ locally, anything beyond this is a bonus for both the customer and TOFBC.
Catherine Edwards
Catherine began drinking real ale on a regular basis when she met the brewer and wonders why she didn’t get hooked sooner! Her early career was art and design based, before moving into catering, both preparation & service, followed by training for adults with learning disabilities.
Catherine has also been a landlady of four public houses and managed various restaurants and an outside catering business over the years.
She enjoys using her varied skillset to do the branding and artwork for the brewery, sales and event management. But also enjoys the title and role of chief bottler, capper and labeller!
Also following redundancy in 2020, Catherine is hoping to be able to maximise their events locally, getting their beer to as wide a customer base as possible, along with developing tasty beery treats and recipes with spent grain!
